4/1: A Conversation with Martha Stewart

A great way to kick off the month! Join one of Forbe’s 2017 “100 Greatest Living Business Minds” and learn from her experiences, wisdom, and stories. Martha Stewart is an Emmy-Award winning television show host, entrepreneur, best-selling author, and founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.

4/4: Taste of Turkey Culture & Food Festival

Immerse yourself in Turkish Culture at Taste of Turkey! Sample Turkish food and drinks, check out the demonstrations of calligraphy and Ebru, and learn about the ways different cultures live. The event is free and open to the public!

4/7: Afternoon Tea at the Mansion

The Harwelden Mansion puts on its monthly “Afternoon Tea at the Mansion” on Tuesday, 4/7. As one of the unique April events, expect an afternoon filled with English tradition at a distinguished mansion right in Tulsa.

4/11: Get a Hop On Easter- Kids Only!

Drop your children off at Mother Road Market and let them handle part of your Easter Sunday meal! Chefs Bill and Mikael will help the kids prepare items for four people to take home for your Easter meal the following day.

4/11: 3rd Annual Tulsa Music Awards

For an authentic taste of T-Town’s music scene, purchase tickets to the Tulsa Music Awards! The event will feature live performances and hands out awards to winners in 25 different categories. Also, a portion of proceeds goes to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. Enjoy a night of music for a good cause!

4/17: Food Innovation Series: Veg Out

Mother Road Market’s second Food Innovation event of 2020 has a common theme among other April events: veggies! Tickets get participants tastes from the best vegetarian and plant-based foods from chefs at Mother Road Market along with an official judge button and a fountain drink. Don’t let the name scare you off; this event is for omnivores and plant-based eaters alike!

Outdoor Activities in Tulsa:

4/4: Aquarium Run

Participants of the Aquarium Run can select a half-marathon, 10k, 5k, and 1-mile fun run and enjoy complimentary race day aquarium admission too!

4/10-11: SpringFest at Woodward Park

Support The Tulsa Garden Center at their annual fundraiser. Spend your weekend at one of the springtime focused April events and explore the vendors featured at the Garden Center Mansion, from those specializing in plants and gardening to art!

4/17: 36th Annual Exchange Club of Muskogee Chili & BBQ Cook-Off

The Exchange Club of Muskogee puts on this fundraiser every year, where cook teams from around the world come to show off their skills for a good cause! $5 gets participants admission along with a Taster Kit and Crowd Pleasin’ Voting Ballots. Support this organization and try out some delicious food.

4/19: Undercroft HoneyFest 2020

One of the many April events to welcome spring, Undercroft HoneyFest is free and family-friendly! The Honeyfest features an engaging and educating KidZone, local vendors, and beekeeper booths selling local raw honey and giving advice on attracting bees to your garden!

4/23-25: Wooly Weekend

This is one of the April events in Tulsa you will not want to miss! At this “Open House Shearing & Sheep to Shawl,” get a glimpse of the process of turning wool into fabric. Watch in real-time as sheep are sheared, washed, spun, and woven. Shepherd’s Cross’s Wooly Weekend will also feature children’s activities, a short course fiber class, and a professional caterer.

4/25: Tulsa VegFest

VegFest is for vegans and omnivores alike! As one of the only plant-based April events, it is not to be missed! This free celebration of all things veggie will feature a variety of vendors, delicious foods, and enlightening speakers.
