The winter market is a great way to experience the local side of Tulsa, and grab a little produce while you’re doing it! Many of the things to do in January on this list are for travelers and locals alike, and the market is no different! The best part? Every vendor, from crafters and ranchers to farmers, is local to Oklahoma!
1/9: The Project Bar & Cabin Boys – Drink & DIY
A fun way to spend the afternoon with your friends! Head to Cabin Boys Brewery for a pint and a craft. The craft menu includes options like leather keychains to paracord dog collars and is great for all skill levels!
1/15: Onesie Bar Crawl

1/16: Arts & Smash

1/22: Claremore Demolition Derby
The Mad Dog Demolition Derby is an exciting way to spend your evening! Mini and full-size derby events, drivers of the Mad Dog Derby tour battling, and more! Those wanting to participate will find the Claremore derby rules here.
1/22: Go Short, Go Long, Go Very Long
The race is back again! This race includes a 5K, 10K, 25K, and 50K option for participants of all levels! All courses are on the Riverparks Trail System, with an incline ONLY for the 25K and 50K participants. Finisher medals, long-sleeved tech shirt, and post-race food and beer included! This is one of the most sporty things to do in January, but finishing a race is a great way to start the new year!
1/28-1/30: 2022 Green Country Home & Garden Show
A fun and FREE way to spend the weekend! This is the largest winter Home and Garden show in Green Country. Typical vendors include home companies, cookware, outdoor living, storm shelters, and more! Check out the link above for information on applying to be a vendor.
1/29: Intro to Sourdough
This event could be considered one of the more practical things to do in January! Head to Farm Bar for a five-hour class in the art of Sourdough, using freshly milled Oklahoma organic wheat flour. Lessons include bakers math, maintaining a starter, the structure of grains, and more!
1/30: The Project Bar & The Cape: Drinks & DIY
Finish out the month with another craft, courtesy of The Project Bar and The Cape! Take a trip over to The Cape Brewing Company in Jenks and pick out some different crafts to work on as you try out the drinks on tap! Use the provided tools and supplies to create Macrame, string art, or one of the other projects!
