There’s no doubt that there’s so much to see and do in Tulsa that visitors and residents of our RV Campground could spend days exploring and still not see or do it all. But what about activities when the sun goes down? Tulsa has the nightlife to match its variety of daytime attractions. If you’re looking to explore the “Birthplace of Route 66” after hours, head to one of these locations.
If you’re looking to get away from the RV Campground for some cocktails, kick off the nick at Valkyrie. It’s Yelp-rated the Best Cocktail Bar in Tulsa and offers a revolving menu of newly crafted cocktails as well as signature favorites. Their fresh ingredients and drinks are prepared by their expert bar staff to kick off your night. Stepping into Hodges Bend will tell you that you’re in for something extraordinary here. This blend of a coffee shop and bar—not your usual combination. Their old-fashioned cocktails and decor will take you back to the good old days of early 20th century America. MixCo melds fun and authenticity as a basement bar with a modern speakeasy vibe and a list of cocktails you’ll need to try more than once.
Best Dive Bars
You’re bound to meet strangers hanging out at the RV Park, but you’ll really meet the locals at these dive bars. Sutures puzzles you with a medical name, but keeps you with friendly staff, great drinks and delicious food! This dive bar brings the best in cheap beer—both bottled and on tap—and a well-worn pool table. Cellar Dweller has everything you’d want from a dive bar. Reviews boast that this is the type of place that isn’t “found on accident” – which makes it a prime location for locals. It’s dim lighting and hard to locate entrance give it a speakeasy vibe.
Best Dancing Spots
Tulsa has so many clubs; you’ll be exhausted coming back to the RV Campground! Rodeo Nightclub was designed to give you the full country experience, their pair and line dancing will keep you moving all night! Club Majestic is in the heart of the Arts District and offers an LGBTQ-friendly environment. Their live entertainment, dance floor, and multiple bars are open every weekend. She Theatre and Lounge is an upscale nightclub with a non-casual dress code. Its weekend nights pump the intensity with EDM, Hip-Hop, Pop, and more.
Want to break away from the RV Campground for a taste of local brews? Tulsa has its fair share of microbreweries, and Downtown features two of the best bars that serve them. Prairie Brewpub is worth the visit for a menu of 20 draft microbrews on tap. Take in the atmosphere of a rustic taproom as you enjoy a dish from their eclectic menu. Elgin Park also has a standing industrial theme. But, this pizzeria/sports bar packs more than 20 locally crafted beers, and most pour fairly-priced. Welltown Brewing provides a spacious space to drink your microbrews inside, and their rooftop bar offers a spectacular view of the city.
The majority of Tulsa’s performance halls are Downtown. Visit Tulsa Performing Arts Center to see an astounding production from the Tulsa Symphony or Ballet in one of their four main theatres. Make sure to visit their art gallery before heading back to the RV Campground! Chapman Music Hall has excellent acoustics for more than just concerts. Their large stage is suited to accommodate operas, musicals, and plays. Cain’s Ballroom looks like a dancing studio from its neon sign, but walk inside to see a classic venue with a diverse lineup of concerts every night of the week.
