7/2: Bixby Freedom Celebration
One of the most patriotic things to do in July! Here’s the scoop from their website:
“The 7th Annual Bixby Freedom Celebration is a free, community-wide event, full of patriotism and family-friendly fun. You will find a variety of food vendors, representation of several military branches, and much more.”
Over 20,000 people are expected to be in attendance, so prepare for a large crowd!
7/3, 17, 24: Meditation at the Museum
AT EASE MEDITATION leads this 18+ sonic sound meditation. Blankets are provided, but feel free to bring your own mat or meditation cushion! Once your session is over, stick around and enjoy the museum, as your ticket includes admission!
7/4: Boozy, Brunchy Dog Days
It’s the first Saturday of July, which means DOGS ARE ALLOWED! Typically dogs are kept out of Tulsa Botanic Garden, but these special times are one of the best things to do in July that include your furry friend! This event will feature a food truck and bar with mimosas, margaritas, and other beverages!
7/4: Ruby Mae’s Presents the Fourth of July Smoked Out Cookout
A classic American dive bar, live music, and food- what more could you want? Head down to The Mercury Lounge for a day-long celebration on the Fourth!
7/4: Jenks Boomfest at Oklahoma Aquarium
For the best view of Jenks Boomfest fireworks show, look no further than Oklahoma Aquarium! Their riverfront backyard is the perfect place to spend the evening. Bring your own lawn chair or blankets, and enjoy food and drinks from food trucks or the aquarium cafe! Arrive early to check out the exhibits indoors.
7/4: Folds of Honor FreedomFest
Another of the most patriotic things to do in July! This event takes place at River West Festival Park AND Veterans Park, It also features two radio stations playing music along with the fireworks! FreedomFest is a casual event that’s perfect for the whole family!
7/7: Wine Down Wednesday at Board & Brush
An exciting evening for friends and older families! Wine Down Wednesday at Board & Brush calls for $1 wine and a pick your project workshop! Be sure to check out Board & Brush’s website to pick your wood sign project and reserve your space!
7/11: The Project Bar & Cabin Boys- Drink & DIY
Another DIY craft for the adults! Head to Cabin Boys Brewery for a hand-crafted project, presented by The Project Bar! This event is for all levels and has limited availability, so reserve your spot now!
7/21: Introduction to Sourdough Bread Magic
There are so many crafty things to do in July, but this one takes the cake (or bread)! The early days of covid created an interest in homemade sourdough bread, so here is your chance to catch up on the trend! This course is five hours, and at the end, you’ll leave with your own sourdough starter and more! Remember, this event is BYOA- Bring Your Own Apron!
7/24: La Fiesta De Tulsa
Come to Gathering Place for a night of Latin cultures! This event will feature cultural foods, drinks, crafts, and performances. Gathering Place offers an exciting time for the whole family, so give yourself time to check the 100-acre environment out!
7/24: Taste of Summer Ice Cream Festival in Broken Arrow
Of all the things to do in July, this is not one to miss! The Taste of Summer Ice Cream Festival in Broken Arrow is guaranteed to be a cool time. Live entertainment, food trucks, and best of all: ALL YOU CAN EAT ICE CREAM! Presented by the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce and Blue Bell Ice Cream.
7/27: Introductory Stained Glass Workshop- Date Night Out
A crafty evening for the parents! In your three-hour class at Tulsa Stained Glass, you’ll learn all the steps of stained glass, ending up with a sun catcher of your very own creation! One complimentary adult beverage will be provided to guests 21 and older at the beginning of class.
7/30: Mermaids’ Night Out at Oklahoma Aquarium
