Autumn is a gorgeous time in Oklahoma. Plan your stay around these great October events to get the full effect of the changing weather!
10/5: 10th Annual McNellie’s Harvest Beer Festival
This year, Tulsa’s favorite beer festival is expecting over 80 breweries to participate in their event. For those who want more than a few tastings, ticket options include a VIP Brunch and VIP Buffet add-on.
10/5: Basecamp
While Basecamp itself does not have to do much with fall, it gives participants the chance to immerse themselves in the gorgeous foliage on Turkey Mountain. This event is Tulsa’s only camping and music festival and is great for all ages! As a bonus, all proceeds go to Tulsa River Parks Authority.
10/12: Festival of Freaks
This event calls itself “a celebration of all that is freaky and weird.” Sponsored by the podcast Hillbilly Horror Stories, you can expect to find unique and unusual things at this event.
10/12: Therapy and Beyond’s 2nd Annual Fall Festival
Celebrate Therapy and Beyond’s Annual Fall Festival at Pleasant Valley Farms! This is a free festival for the autistic community and features a hayride, corn maze, free pumpkin pie, and more!
10/13: Dragon Alley: A Wizard’s Fest
One of the most magical October events! This free event celebrates the witches, wizards, and magical worlds found in books and films. The Fest is family-friendly, and costumes are encouraged as there will be a costume contest! A live owl will also be featured for a meet and greet.
10/17-20: Linde Oktoberfest
Celebrate 41 years of Bavarian culture at one of T-Town’s most culturally authentic October events. Bring friends and family to this night of beer, bratwurst, and great music.
10/25-10/31: Hallowmarine 2019
Hallowmarine is of the Halloween-themed October events targeted toward children! This is the first year the Oklahoma Aquarium has indoor trick-or-treating, and festivities also include a costume contest, face painting, and more!
10/26-10/31: Hallowzooeen 2019
Hallowzooeen is a “spooky (but not too scary)” week of trick or treating at the Tulsa Zoo. For an additional price, board the haunted train or ride the Scary-go-round.
10/30: Monster Movie Madness
Many of the movie-based October events feature spooky films and this night is no different! Join the Tulsa Library in the Tandy Garden for “Tremors” and try not to let it scare you too much!
