There is no time like the summer to showcase the unique events of Tulsa. There are many things to do in June for the whole family, from festivals to fitness! Check out these events going on in T-Town soon:
Limited-Time Things to Do in June
Grab your tickets now, because these events won’t last long! Most are only a day or two long and require a little bit of planning.
Now-6/6: Oklahoma Renaissance Festival
One of the most entertaining things to do in June is the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival! Those visiting Tulsa will catch the last weekend of the 25th Annual RenFest, which takes place at The Castle in Muskogee, OK. Get your costumes and brush up on your 1600s vocabulary, or simply attend as a modern spectator. Either way, there’s fun for everyone at the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival!
6/3-6/5: Wagoner Summer Fest
Head East to Wagoner for their 60th annual Summer Fest! This three-day festival is back for a weekend of food, rides, vendors, and more! This event also features a chalk contest and car show to add extra entertainment, so make your plans and see what Wagoner has to offer!
6/4: Real Okie Craft Beer Festival
Another of the most exciting things to do in June happens in Muskogee! The Real Okie Craft Beer Festival offers up Oklahoma’s best brews for visitors to taste and find their favorites. Food trucks will also be around to help balance out the afternoon, and designated drivers get in free!
6/4: Conservation on Tap
Another beer tasting event, but for a good cause! The Tulsa Zoo invites you to “join us as we sip to save species” as you sample beer, listen to live music, and check out the wildlife! VIP tickets are sold out, but general tickets still include a tasting mug, lanyard, and unlimited samplings from participating breweries!
6/5: Backyard + Burn + Brews
The Cape Brewery in Jenks, OK for a morning of fitness, fun, and beer! The day starts off with a morning yoga session, followed by an acro workshop! Though this is one of the beer-focused things to do in June, this event offers family tickets too. Put on your exercise pants and get ready to feel the burn!
6/5: Symphony in the Park
A Saturday evening symphony like no other! Grab a blanket or chair and arrive early for the Muskogee Community Band’s performance, with the theme Oklahoma Composers. Concessions are available and the night ends with an exciting fireworks finale!
6/5: Summer Market at NEFF Brewing
This market brings together the best features of Tulsa: local food, local beer, and local vendors! Featuring merchants like Half Moon Harvest and Addis Ceramics, this market is the perfect time to pick up gifts for others or yourself!
6/23: Marine Biologist for a Day
An exciting activity for future Marine Biologists ages 12-16! Participants will get a chance to see how the professionals at the Oklahoma Aquarium work. The day includes food preparation, feeding animals, learning how to test water quality, and more!
6/26: Boulder Dash
Whether you’re watching or participating, you don’t want to miss Boulder Dash! At this adult downhill tricycle race, the description says it all. Boulder Dash is one of the most ridiculous things to do in June- in the best way possible.
6/26: Introductory Stained Glass Workshop
Beginner and experienced artists alike can enjoy this workshop! In your three-hour session, learn the stain glass process from start to finish. This includes glass selection and cutting, soldering and assembly, and adding the finishing touches. The theme of this workshop is birds, so start seeking inspiration now!
All Month Long:
Tuesdays & Thursdays: FREE Family Fishing Clinic
This fishing clinic is a great experience for all ages! No fishing license necessary for this event, just head down to the Oklahoma Aquarium complex and get ready for an evening of education! Start off with hands-on education, including regulations and ethics, casting, and fish identification, and spend the rest of your session using your new skills!
Wednesdays: Food Truck Wednesdays & Fitness on the Green at Guthrie Green
Two awesome things to do in June, all at the same place! Start your afternoon off right with Food Truck Wednesdays, featuring live music and local food trucks with the best grub in T-Town! Return a few hours later for 60 minutes of yoga during Fitness on the Green, taught by a certified instructor. Guthrie Green has all the entertainment you need on Wednesdays!
Wednesdays: Tulsa Farmer’s Market Midweek Market
For those who love Tulsa’s weekend farmers’ market but can’t stand the crowds, the midweek market is for you! This market takes place in Whittier Square from 7:30 am to 11:00 am and offers a smaller space and crowd for those who need a little less.
Saturdays: Tulsa Farmers’ Market
The Tulsa Farmers’ Market is THE place to be on Saturdays! With over 70 vendors, the TFM is the largest farmers’ market in the state. Local farmers, ranchers, bakers, artisans, and others come together to offer their goods, all thanks to the work of the TFM.
